Rear Admiral (lower half) Norman R. Hayes will be assigned as director of intelligence, U.S. European Command. He has been serving as director, National Security Operations Center, National Security Agency.
Rear Admiral (lower half) William E. Leigher will be assigned as deputy commander, Fleet Cyber Command/ deputy commander, Tenth Fleet. Leigher is currently serving as director, information operations, deputy director of Naval Intelligence for Cryptology, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. He will be replaced in that post by Navy Captain Sean R. Filipowski, who has been selected for rear admiral (lower half), and has been division director, computer network operations, Naval Network Warfare Command.
Army Brigadier General Steven W. Smith has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. He is currently serving as chief cyber officer, Office of the Chief Information Officer/G-6.
Army Brigadier General Mary A. Legere has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. She is currently serving as commanding general, Army Intelligence and Security Command.
Air Force Major General Ellen M. Pawlikowski, who has been deputy director, National Reconnaissance Office, has been assigned as commander, Air Force Research Laboratory. Air Force Major General James O. Poss has been assigned as director, strategy, integration and doctrine, deputy chief of staff for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, Headquarters U.S. Air Force.
Howard Klayman has joined Ultra Electronics Criticom, a provider of secure video communications, as director of business development for its AudioSoft data recording and analysis solutions activity.
BAE Systems has appointed John Suttle as senior vice president of corporate communications. ♦
