Converter Offers Reliable Power to Remote Locations
C4500HV series of high output voltage power converters from Schaefer Inc. can accept high input voltages of up to 3000VDC. The converter provides high output voltages and is ideal for applications that require reliable power for remote locations. The series’ robust design, using industrial grade components, yields a highly efficient, space-saving 6U solution for even the most extreme environments. The C4500HV series is based upon Schaefer’s C/B4500 Series, which offers an extensive lineup of over 150 standard models. Standard DC input voltage options span a range from 10VDC to 800VDC. AC input models offer either 1-Phase or 3-Phase options as well as battery charging models. Single output voltages encompass a range from 9VDC to 400VDC, all of which are adjustable and fully regulated to 0.2 percent or better (load) and 0.1 percent (line). Remote sense capability and comprehensive protection circuitry is inherent in the design, with efficiencies up to 90 percent. Operating temperature range is -20C to +75C, with -40C to +75C as an option. Additional options include parallel / redundant operation, further mechanical ruggedization, inhibit, Power-OK / DC-OK alarms, and system reset.
Solution Integrates Management of Wireless and Wired Networks
AirWave 7 is a major extension of Aruba Networks’ operations solution that integrates the management of wireless networks, wired infrastructure, and client devices into a single interface. As increasingly mobile enterprise users connect to networks from more locations, using a wider variety of devices than ever before, IT organizations have struggled with the proliferation of vendorspecific, single-purpose management tools needed to support these networks. AirWave 7 solves this problem by providing a single point of visibility and control for the entire network edge, including wired and wireless infrastructure, as well as individual client devices. In so doing, AirWave 7 reduces the cost and complexity of network management, while improving service quality for users. AirWave 7 enhances the capabilities of Aruba’s management suite by incorporating the following new features: New AirWave Mobile Device Manager module; wired infrastructure management; improvements to open architecture; customizable user interface and dashboards; and support for state-of-the-art wireless infrastructure. The powerful monitoring, diagnostic and help desk features of AirWave 7 can expedite the detection and resolution of network and device problems, maximizing device up-time.
Micro Cases Protect Handheld Electronics
Built as another protection option for handheld electronics and smart phones, the 1015 Micro Case has become the seventh model in the Pelican Products Micro Case Series. The case’s internal rubber liner doubles as a weather resistant seal and as a shock absorber with a series of curved bumpers lining the perimeter. Its easy-open yet durable polymer latch and stainless steel hinge ensure that the case will stay closed when dropped. For ultimate security, the 1015’s high-impact, heat and chemically resistant polymer shell will stand up to extremely harsh conditions. Similar in design to Pelican’s full line of equipment cases, Pelican Micro Cases offer unsurpassed quality to keep valuable equipment safe and dry. Their internal rubber liners work with a tough polymer shell and latch to create a weather-resistant seal. They are also outfitted with an automatic pressure purge valve that regulates internal air pressure and prevents vacuum lock, so the case is easy to open at any altitude. Pelican Micro Case Series cases fit a wide variety of small items such as cell phones, PDAs, pagers, small electronics, handheld instruments and other sensitive devices. ♦
