The Executive Alliance has awarded Robert Lentz, deputy assistant secretary of defense for information and identity assurance in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Networks and Information Integration/ Chief Information Office, its “Government Information Security Executive of the Year” award for North America.
Brigadier General Bradley A. Heithold, who has been selected for the rank of major general, has been assigned as commander, Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
The Defense Information Systems Agency has appointed Kathleen Miller as director for procurement and chief, Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization. She replaces Evelyn DePalma, who retired. Miller comes from Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom AFB, Mass., where she was director of contracting. Thales Communications has promoted Andrew Bostock to director, leading the tactical ground communications team. His responsibilities encompass business development for tactical ground communications products within the United States. Joining his team is Ben Bethke as business development manager, tactical ground communications for the Army, Navy and Marine Corps.
Raytheon has appointed Lynn A. Dugle president of Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS), effective January 1, 2009. Dugle succeeds Michael D. Keebaugh, IIS president since August 2002, who plans to retire from Raytheon after 40 years in the industry. L-3 Communications has appointed John C. McNellis as senior vice president and president of the Integrated Systems Group.
Harris has named Army Major General Dennis C. Moran (Ret.) as vice president of government business development for its RF Communications business. He previously was vice president/ senior executive account manager for Harris Government Communications Systems. Prior to joining Harris, Moran served as deputy director for command, control and computer systems for the Joint Staff. ♦
