Rear Admiral Joseph F. Kilkenny will be assigned as commander, Naval Education and Training Command, Pensacola, Fla. Kilkenny is currently serving as commander, Navy Recruiting Command, Millington, Tenn.

Steve Grinham has been appointed managing director, Thales’ training and simulation business. He is responsible for driving the renewed international strategy in both the civil and the military environments.


Brigadier General Robert P. Stall, U.S. Army Reserve, deputy commanding general (troop program unit), 80th Training Command (total army school system), Richmond, Va., has been assigned as commander (troop program unit), 98th Training Division (initial entry training), Rochester, N.Y.


Dr. James D. Fleck has joined the NGRAIN board of directors. Fleck is a recognized 3-D industry expert, and has held various leadership positions including chairman, ATI Technologies, until 2006, and chairman, AMD (Canada), until May 2008.


Lockheed Martin named Nettie R. Johnson as corporate vice president of worldwide media relations. In this role, Johnson will serve as chief spokesperson for the corporation and direct all media relations activities. Johnson was the director of communications for Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training & Support in Orlando, Fla.


Combat Training Solutions announced the addition of John P. Olson to its Orlando offi ce as vice president, marketing and sales. He brings more than 30 years of experience in modeling and simulation, training, warfi ghter protection systems and business development to the executive position. Olson will be responsible for directing the national sales team and implementing the company’s vision by matching customer needs with CTS Battlefi eld Effects Teams and a comprehensive range of non-pyrotechnic IED simulators.
