Colonel (Select) Marcus Boyd is commander, Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation. He reported for duty from the staff of USCENTCOM Combined Forces Air Component Commander.

Todd Haley is a manager, business and new product development, Advanced Technology Division, SDS International. Haley was recently released from active duty.


Robert Graebener, an Alion Science and Technology employee and a veteran in the modeling and simulation industry, has been named director of the Department of Defense’s Modeling and Simulation Information Analysis Center (MSIAC).


VT MÄK announced David A. Epstein is the company’s chief operating offi cer. In this capacity, Epstein will manage day-to-day operations, oversee infrastructure development and work with senior management to develop company-wide strategic plans.


Maxie McFarland, deputy chief of staff for Intelligence (G-2) for the U.S. Army TRADOC, was promoted recently to Tier 3 within the Senior Executive Service. McFarland is the lead for numerous Army programs including Red Teaming, Human Terrain System, Foreign Military and Cultural Studies, and the Joint Training Counter- Improvised Explosive Device Integration Center.


Lieutenant General Mark P. Hertling was nominated for assignment as the commanding general, initial entry training, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. Hertling is currently serving as the commanding general, 1st Armored Division/ commanding general, Multi-National Division - North, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.


3D perception announced three personnel assignments. Tom Steidel joined the company’s senior management staff and serves as chief operations offi cer. Steve Schaber joined the company and serves as senior program manager for the Simulation Business Unit. Schaber operates out of Orlando. Adam McCard also joined the company and serves as marketing strategist for the Simulation Business Unit. McCard will similarly operate out of the company’s Orlando office. ♦
