Rear Admiral (lower half) Mark D. Guadagnini will be assigned as commander, Carrier Strike Group Nine, Everett, Wash. Guadagnini is currently serving as chief of Naval Air Training, Corpus Christi, Texas.

Robert E. Brown, CAE’s president and CEO, will retire September 30, 2009, and Marc Parent, CAE’s executive vice president and chief operating offi cer, will succeed Brown as president and CEO at that time. Brown will continue as an adviser until the end of December 2009.


Cubic Defense Applications Inc. announced that Joseph “Keith” Kellogg has joined Cubic as senior vice president for ground combat programs. Kellogg will focus on expanding the sector’s training and tactical portfolio, the company said. Kellogg is a retired Army lieutenant general.


Colonel David A. Smith assumed duties as program manager, Marine Corps Training Systems (PM TRASYS). Prior to this assignment, Smith was Fleet Readiness Center East Commanding Offi cer from May 2007 to June 2009.


Major General David A. Morris, U.S. Army Reserve, commanding general, U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), has been assigned as deputy director, joint force trainer for doctrine and joint capabilities development, USJFCOM. ♦
